My little boy

My baby is no longer a baby. I took him this afternoon to get another haircut (it was time once again) and decided to go with a new "look". The stylist spiked it up for us also. What do you think of my little GQ? Of course included is a pic of my favorite new outfit!

"Hat"

We like to eat breakfast wearing our "hat". Nick is learning new words every day, but one of his favorites is "hat". If he sees his hat, he will continue saying hat until he gets to wear it. Of course then he hams it up for the camera.

Evander

Nick now has a black eye. We're not really sure where it originally came from, but it was escalated the other night while shopping. We went looking for some new pants for Nick that have an adjustable waist. He was running through the store and crashed straight into the corner of a clothes rack. He now has a cut on the side of his eye as well.

Oakland Zoo

Yesterday we met our friends Amanda & Emily at the Oakland zoo. The kids and adults had a great time. Nick got to pet the goats and wander around making animal sounds. Lately he isn't too fond of rides and even cried getting on the merry go round and the train. All and all it was fabulous. He LOVES animals and I LOVE the zoo, what better way to spend a nice afternoon.

When we got there, there was a school getting ready to leave and all the kids were having their picture taken. Eddie pointed them out so that I could take a picture of all of them. It was too funny...

Steinhart Aquarium

Yesterday we went to the Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco. Be warned there are numerous pictures to follow. The majority of these pictures are for my brother who is a HUGE fish fanatic. Nicholas had a great time. He LOVED seeing all the fish and walked around making his fish face. He even got to touch a starfish and hold a hermit crab. Of course it gave me a good excuse to play with my camera some more.

Where has the time gone?

Recently I have come to the revelation that my baby is no longer a baby... he's a little boy. I told Eddie yesterday that we don't have a baby anymore, we have a kid. Of course he'll always be my baby, but where has the time gone? Can it be that I now have an almost year and a half old child?

New camera

Lately I've taken an interest in photography. Who knows it could be my handsome subject of interest, or the fact that I'm getting older. What I want to do with a camera I can no longer do with my point and shoot, so I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D40x. I not even had it 24 hours and am completely in love with it. It is incredible. Eventually I'll learn all the cool things I can do with it, but for now here's my current favorite picture!
